Though swimming naked is still taboo in some countries, it is perfectly acceptable in many parts of the world to bare it all and enjoy a swim without fear of judgment. But where are the best countries for skinny dipping? New research from Outforia has revealed the world’s top 10 skinny dipping countries and France has bagged the top spot.

“Beaches and clubs” include beaches, pools, resorts and non-landed clubs.
According to the research, France is the world’s best country for skinny dipping, with 397 nudist beaches and 212 naturist campsites. It even has an entire village, “Village Naturiste” in Cap d’Age, where clothing is totally optional.
The United States is the world’s 2nd best skinny dipping country, offering 299 nudist friendly beaches with average water temperatures of 62.4˚F. It is also the number #1 country in the world for naturist campsites with 253 across the country including hotspots such as Florida and California.
The UK is the world’s 8th best country for skinny dipping, with 51 nudist beaches and clubs as well as 160 naturist campsites. Topless sunbathing is common, with the practice being completely legal and topless sunbathers are a common sight in parks and on beaches every time a heatwave descends.
Interestingly, public nudity is only partially legal in 3 of the top 10 best countries for skinny dipping.
